Dr. Brian Blake, New Hampshire’s Superintendent of the Year for 2015-16, has served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Sanborn Regional School District in Kingston, New Hampshire for seven years. Dr. Blake’s commitment to education has been instrumental in the creation of a learning environment that students, parents and staff find welcoming and supportive.  Seven years at the helm of Sanborn Regional School District, Dr. Blake has proven to be transformational. Evidence of his transformative leadership includes the development of the district’s first strategic plan in almost 20 years and his focused efforts on competency-based education that led to the approval of the Performance Assessment of Competency Education (P.A.C.E.) drive.

Dr. Blake earned his Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, a Master’s degree from New York University, a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies from Plymouth State College, and a Doctorate from Argosy University.
