This training focuses on ethics for professionals working with youth (families) affected by the disease of substance misuse. You will examine confidentiality using 42CFR Part 2, explore the NAADAC Code of Ethics, and discover ethical decision-making while using the ethical decision-making model. As a result of the training, you will learn how to assess ethics vs. personal biases. You will increase your understanding of the importance of healthy boundaries and be able to assess countertransference and transference towards clients and self. You'll leave with an understanding of the 12 principals of ethics and have the background knowledge to obtain future guidance as needed.
