Interest-Based Negotiation Skills & Strategies: Creating Shared Value that Fuels Your Business Goals

Interest-based negotiations are negotiations in which parties work to identify a mutually acceptable solution, grounded in collaboration rather than competition. This highly interactive workshop will give you the tools to navigate interest-based negotiations inside and outside of work. This fundamental toolbox for creating and finding value in your everyday negotiations and relationships is a must for anyone looking to expand their communication skill set. Designed with the HR professional in mind, but relevant to any leader, this workshop will:
  • Increase your awareness of internal and external negotiation in your day-to-day professional and personal life, and guide how you approach them
  • Teach you tools and approaches for thinking about negotiations and relationship management
  • Give you an opportunity to assess and improve your individual negotiation style
Due to its interactive nature, this workshop is limited to 12 participants.

  • Rebecca Goldberg

    Rebecca Goldberg is an attorney, trainer, mediator, and consultant specializing in conflict management, leadership development, and communication skills training.  She has provided services to a wide variety of corporations, nonprofit organizations and governmental entities including Deloitte, Proctor & Gamble, Lowe’s, Consumer Reports, the Maine Legislature and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Previously, Rebecca was a criminal defense litigator representing clients in federal white collar and organized crime prosecutions, as well as representing indigent clients as a court appointed public defender.  Before embarking on her career as an attorney, she was the Vice President of the Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations, working in diverse communities across Massachusetts. Rebecca is the Co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Family Committee at Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA.  As part of her role as Co-Chair, she helps to design and deliver family programming focused on DEI education.  She also volunteers as a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the Town of New Castle. Rebecca received a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, a B.A. from Kenyon College in Political Science, is a certified mediator, and is licensed to practice law in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
