When we think of drawing, we commonly assume that means black and white drawing materials and paper. In this workshop, we will explore color through materials such as pastel, oil pastel, and colored pencils and use the observed natural world, still-life, and imagination for an experience in the wonders of color.

Jamie Bowman is a painter living in Boston, MA. She received her BFA in Studio Art from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and an MFA in painting from the University of New Hampshire. Her awards include residencies at the Vermont Studio Center, Alfred and Trafford Klots International Program, and Mount Gretna School of Art (Four Pillars). She has exhibited her paintings in France, New York, and nationally. Jamie currently teaches drawing and painting at the University of New Hampshire and Northeastern University.
