Persuasive Writing for Professionals

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This program is scheduled as a face-to-face classroom training during the Spring 2021 semester, but may be moved online due to future recommendations for distance learning due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).  Any updates will be posted on this page and all enrolled students will be notified by email of any anticipated curtailments.

Workplace writing often involves asking someone to do something: hire someone, fire someone, allocate money; invest in an idea; add a new product line, etc. This workshop will explore strategies for formulating and presenting a cogent argument in a clear, convincing manner. Participants will leave with an understanding of how to use facts, logic, solid evidence, and good writing to present a case in the professional world. Laptop or tablet with WiFi access required.
