Self-driving cars and trucks are becoming a reality. The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly expanding as the size and cost of computer chips decrease while their capability and speed increase. An MRI machine will soon be the size of a laptop. Your glasses, contact lenses, office, and home walls will be intelligent displays for leisure and business applications. Artificial intelligence (AI) software and robots will perform and or augment repetitive work.
How will these technology changes affect project management? What will be required to plan and implement the new technological solutions? How will project managers need to help organizations deal with the human impact of AI? What repetitive work will be augmented, what intellectual work will expand? And what knowledge and skills will future project managers need?
These questions and more will be explored in this interactive workshop. You will gain awareness of the emerging technologies that can affect your market and organization. Together we will develop a roadmap that you and your organizations can use to plan and navigate this explosion of intelligent technology.
