In this 5-day workshop, participants will develop essential drawing and painting skills to enhance the development of a cohesive art portfolio.
Drawing and painting from observation will be emphasized with the goal of enriching each participant’s individualistic voice. The workshop will begin with drawing projects and end with completing one painting in oil and or acrylic.
*Suggested for, but not exclusive to, high school students who have completed their junior year.
Jamie Bowman is a painter living in Boston, MA. She received her BFA in Studio Art from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and an MFA in painting from the University of New Hampshire. Her awards include residencies at the Vermont Studio Center, Alfred and Trafford Klots International Program, and Mount Gretna School of Art (Four Pillars). She has exhibited her paintings in France, New York, and nationally. Jamie currently teaches drawing and painting at the University of New Hampshire and Northeastern University.
