Kelli Adams

Kelli began her Federal career in 2001, working for the Department of Defense in West Point, New York. While working there, she attended graduate school at night, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Development, and worked as a drug and alcohol Counselor. In 2005, Kelli joined TIGTA as a Special Agent in the Plantation, Florida post-of duty, before transferring to the Seattle, Washington, post-of-duty, in 2008. While in Seattle, Kelli worked numerous investigations involving sovereign citizens, tax practitioner violations, and IRS impersonation scams. In 2016, Kelli relocated to TIGTA’s Hartford, Connecticut, post-of-duty. Most-recently, she was promoted to TIGTA’s Headquarters Function to work under the Operations Division. In her current assignment to TIGTA’s Policy Team, Kelli is responsible for the oversight of several of TIGTA’s National programs, as well as the development of agency policy and procedure.  In addition, Kelli prepares the Office of Investigations’ Semiannual Reports to Congress. Kelli also very much enjoys serving as a mentor as a part of TIGTA’s formal mentoring program.
