Sarah Sherman has been teaching students with emotional and behavioral challenges for 19 years in school districts around the country from California to New Mexico to New Hampshire in grades K-8. She taught in inner city schools with many students affected by childhood trauma and their families including abuse, addiction, incarceration and gang activity. She has a Masters in Special Education, is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher, earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis, and is currently enrolled in the Trauma Informed Practices and Policies graduate program. Sarah is also a certified Yoga Instructor who has been teaching a Trauma Sensitive Yoga class through Haven called Empower for 5 years and has led workshops for yoga teachers on the Seacoast on trauma sensitive practices.
