Tom has worked with project teams to plan hundreds of projects in aerospace, banking, commercial and consumer products, IT, financial services, insurance, and in specific functional organizations: design engineering, development engineering, facilities engineering, manufacturing engineering and manufacturing environments since 1983. He developed Digital Equipment's first corporate-wide workshop on project management. His project management accomplishments include leading the project manager, project scheduler, and project team in planning for, and executing a plant shut down and overhaul, using two shifts, a $4m project; Managing a project as a sub-contractor to Lockheed-Martin to develop DoD software; and helping to develop project management standards, and implement new project management practices and methodology for many clients. His book "How to Plan Any Project" was a best seller for PMI for several years. He has written 9 other publications, including the Complete Planning Guide for Microsoft Project for Butterworth-Heinemann, and Successful Project Management for the American Management Association.
