Teambuilding Theories & Methodologies

New Workshop!

(This 4-hour seminar can be used to fulfill requirements in the PMI CCR Leadership Topics area.)
This workshop provides a survey of current team building tools and methodologies that can be used to build team cohesiveness and boost leadership abilities. Methodologies will be discussed at a high level to inform participants of specific skills they may want to pursue. Several current theories and their application will be introduced, Including: McGregor’s Theory X, Theory Y; Myers Briggs Type Indicator; Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs; Herzberg’s Theory; and Situational Leadership. This workshop is for people working in a team environment or managing a project team who want to better understand the dynamics of teams to increase their own or their team's effectiveness. It is also useful for project managers preparing for the PMP exam who want to understand Project Team Management at a deeper level. In-class exercises will reinforce the principles discussed.

    David Connors

    David Connors has over 30 years' corporate experience with the IBM Corporation as an I/T professional with more than 25 years' experience in project management. His management experience includes leading a Project Management Office in a multi-divisional, multi-national product development area. He was a member of the Project Management Institute and the PMI NH Chapter serving as Director of their Ambassador Program. He is a corporate trainer and is a recognized expert in project management specializing in Risk Management and certification training. He founded PM Intervention which was, for 10 years, a Registered Education Provider for PMI.
