Aquaculture and the Land Surveyor

Aquaculture and the Land Surveyor
Circular aquacultures in water
PDT-Lsurv-13

Aquaculture - managing animals and plants in water. It is not just a thing of the future, it has been going on for a long time, and is very much a way of life for many nations, relying on food from the water for survival.

While many think of fish, they often don't consider plants, crustaceans, shellfish, jewelry, and the vast areas used for harvesting and management, both public and private, involving ownership, leases, and easements.

Also, while many think of wild ocean resources, there are farms and gardens, both offshore and inland. This workshop reviews the varied aspects of aquaculture and considerations for a practicing surveyor.
