Telehealth Etiquette

Module Overview 

In this module, participants will learn best practices for facilitating effective telehealth interactions to ensure a positive experience for both the provider and patient. Participants will receive practical telehealth etiquette tips and tools to elevate engagement and rapport building in their telehealth practice. 

Learning Objectives 

  1. Describe the three primary components of telehealth etiquette.  

  2. Identify two common etiquette pitfalls associated with the delivery of telehealth services. 

  3. Summarize strategies for a successful telehealth encounter and quality telepresence.

    Jennifer Chadbourne

    Jen Chadbourne is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) and the Director of Telehealth Curriculum for the UNH Center for Digital Health Innovation (formerly the Telehealth Practice Center). She teaches a variety of courses on the topics of nutrition, food science, diabetes, and telehealth. Jen worked clinically as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. As part of an interdisciplinary virtual care team, her clinical work focused on the delivery of individualized diabetes care via telehealth and the integration of remote patient monitoring technology.
