Adobe Photoshop: Level 1

Adobe Photoshop is the leading photo design and production software on the market today. It is the ideal app for editing imagery used in a variety of professional medias, including photography, print, art print, web, video, and multimedia.

In this Adobe Photoshop: Level 1, you will explore the basic features of this powerful software. Hands-on instruction and practice will help you learn about masking, selection techniques, sharpening, retouching, resolution basics, resizing, manipulating, cropping, and editing images, working with text, and a workflow that includes using layers to the best advantage. 

Students should have an introductory understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud, but no prior experience is needed with Adobe Photoshop.

Class will take place in a computer lab with Mac interface and Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Students must have an Adobe Creative Cloud login prior to attending class.

This workshop will take place in a computer lab where students will have individual access to a desktop computer on a Mac interface and all necessary software applications.  

Students must have an Adobe Creative Cloud login prior to attending class.

  • Grace Peirce

    Grace Peirce has been working in the print and publishing industry since 1974. In 2012, she founded Great Life Press, a book publishing company that helps authors self-publish their work.  She teaches a variety of graphic design workshops specializing in Adobe Creative Suite software.  Grace is an award-winning book designer and accomplished photographer.
