Designing a competitive flexible rewards program can play a critical role in attracting and retaining the right talent to support the company's strategy and business objectives. Rewards can show up in many forms including salary, bonus, benefits, flexible workplace programs, perks and recognition programs. Offering a variety of programs will help your company meet the needs of a diverse population, and aligning your rewards program with your company culture will effectively drive employee engagement and create an environment where employees will thrive at work.

In this interactive class you will explore:

· The connection between total rewards, attracting/retaining talent and company culture

· What is your role? The role of leadership?

· Implementation/Communication Strategy

· Tools & Resources

In addition, we will share best practices from other companies and you will leave the class with a framework to design or refresh your Total Rewards program.

  • Instructor - Debbie Zimmermann

    Debbie Zimmermann

    Debbie Zimmermann's career in Human Resources began over 20 years ago and includes 11+ years as a Global HR Leader. Debbie has experience working for start-ups and global technology companies on the east and west coast. She has been fortunate to work in diverse industries such as Software, Biotechnology, Healthcare and Insurance Services. Debbie is currently employed with a Software Company. In addition, she partners with HR-ROI, LLC as a Senior HR Consultant and Wellness Coach. She has been an instructor for the HR Certification Program at UNH for the past 3 years. Debbie graduated from the University of NH with a B.S. in Business Administration and minor in Psychology. She also completed her Masters Certificate in the Human Resource field from Southern NH University. She is a trained facilitator in a number of leadership programs and team building assessments. In addition, she is a Nationally certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. Debbie is the former Diversity Director for the Seacoast Human Resources Associate (SHRA), and a member of the local Chamber of Commerce Associations in Portsmouth and Dover NH. She also served as President and Vice President for the Marin Human Resource Association in San Francisco. In her spare time Debbie teaches fitness classes and enjoys hiking, gardening and remodeling homes.
