Everyone has at least one story to tell, and this workshop will help you learn how to put your stories down on paper.
Using the techniques of creative non-fiction, we will explore the concepts of narrative, dialogue, and description in crafting true stories about yourself.
The workshop will use readings, writing exercises, and peer reviewing to help develop the skills you need to take the reader where you have been via compelling, vivid story telling.
David Cataneo, a native of Yonkers, NY, graduated with honors from Boston University and worked for 22 years in Boston journalism at the Herald and Globe. He has been an adjunct professor of English and Journalism at the University of New Hampshire since 2009. He is also the director of the UNH Online Writing Lab. Cataneo is the author of six nonfiction books and one novel.
