This workshop is designed to help you get started in creating and managing a responsive website and/or blog using the WordPress web publishing platform.
WordPress 101 will start with a basic overview of WordPress with discussion on installing it for the first time, how it works, and navigating the back-end dashboard. You will learn how to add content and media through posts and pages, how to add functionality with plugins and widgets, and how to change the look and feel with various themes.
This course is ideal for anyone who wants to start a blog, publish their first website, or who may have "inherited” the responsibility of managing a WordPress site at their place of employment. Beginners with little to no technical WordPress experience are welcome.

Students need to bring a laptop, PC or Mac, with them to class. If you do not have a laptop, contact Michael Mengers (michael.mengers@unh.edu) to reserve a loaner for use during the workshop.

Greg Duval is the Owner & Creative Director at GREGORVIOS, a Manchester, NH based branding and design studio that specializes in developing print and digital media. He also has extensive experience in the areas of website design, corporate identity, print publishing, advertising campaigns, and new media. Greg graduated from Plymouth State university with a BA in Graphic Design.
