WordPress 101 is designed to help you get started with the WordPress web publishing platform. During this workshop, you will learn how to create and manage a responsive website and/or blog. The class will start with a basic overview of WordPress. We will discuss how it works, including installing WordPress for the first time, and navigating the backend dashboard. You will learn how to add content and media through posts and pages, how to add functionality with plugins and widgets, and how to change the look and feel with various themes. This workshop is designed for beginners with little to no technical experience, and is ideal for anyone who wants to start a blog, publish their first website, or who may have "inherited” the responsibility of managing a WordPress site at their place of employment.
(This is part of the Digital Design Certificate Program, but you do not need to enroll in the program to take this workshop.)
