Parent coaching is not therapy or counseling but is a form of support that helps caregivers navigate the challenges of raising children.  It is a goal oriented and practical process that can help parents address specific concerns, like tantrum management, boundary setting, or difficulties in communicating with a teenager.  Research has shown parent coaching to have a variety of benefits including: better family relationships, increased confidence in parenting, and improved family communication skills.

This workshop will provide an introduction to parent coaching for participants who would like to add this type of coaching to their practices.  Specific resources and strategies will be discussed, as well as models for providing parent coaching in a different settings.
