The grievance policy for the UNH Certificate in Professional Coaching Program is designed to provide a fair and efficient process for addressing and resolving grievances raised by participants enrolled in the program. It aims to ensure that all grievances are handled promptly, impartially, and with due consideration for the concerns of all parties involved.

A grievance is defined as any concern, complaint, or dissatisfaction expressed by a student regarding an aspect of their experience within the University Certificate Program, including but not limited to academic matters, administrative decisions, interpersonal conflicts, or perceived injustices.

All grievances will be addressed in a fair, equitable, and impartial manner, with due regard for the rights and perspectives of all parties involved.

The confidentiality of all parties involved in the grievance process will be respected to the fullest extent possible.

Every effort will be made to resolve grievances in a timely manner, with clear timelines established for each stage of the process.

Participants will be provided with clear information about the grievance process, their responsibilities, as well as the steps involved in resolving their grievance.

Informal Resolution: Students are encouraged to attempt to resolve grievances informally, whenever possible, by discussing their concerns directly with the individual(s) involved or with an appropriate faculty or staff member.

Formal Grievance: If a grievance cannot be resolved informally, or if the student is dissatisfied with the outcome of informal resolution attempts, they may submit a formal written grievance to the Program Manager.

Appeal: If the student is dissatisfied with the outcome of the grievance process, they may appeal the decision in writing to the Director of Professional Development within a specified timeframe. The Director will review the appeal and may uphold, modify, or overturn the original decision.

Final Decision: The decision of the Director on appeal will be final and binding, and no further appeals will be permitted.
