Professional coaches are in great demand, and the need for their services is only growing. Employers are realizing that coaching is a cost-effective way to help their employees increase effectiveness, think more creatively, take on greater responsibility, and grow professionally. The result? A better performing organization and a loyal workforce. Likewise, individuals are turning more frequently to coaches for help in developing and implementing career and life plans.
The UNH Professional Coaching Certificate is designed for professionals in multiple roles:
This certificate program is designed exclusively to meet the needs of the evolving coaching profession. It provides a structured, but flexible, program that includes a required five-session core course covering fundamental principles and practices, two one-day required seminars, and two elective seminars that will equip you with the necessary toolbox to become a skilled and confident professional coach in a career or life satisfaction capacity. This program's two-tiered approach will enable participants to work with the "whole client" within the context of the "whole system" in which they operate.
The UNH Professional Coaching Certificate requires completion of the three "required" workshops and two "elective" workshops within a two-year period.
To enroll in the Professional Coaching Certificate program, add the "PC Certificate Enrollment fee" to your cart at checkout when signing up for any of the elective workshops (this is an additional, one-time, $50 fee).
The required and elective courses are offered on a rolling basis and may not be available every semester. Please refer to the upcoming schedule below for the current list of offerings.

Professional Coaching is an unregulated industry at this time. The UNH Professional Coaching certificate program is a professional development program granting continuing education units (CEUs). The certificate you receive upon successful completion of all required sessions (nine days total) does not meet any licensing or regulatory requirements and does not entail any special status, rights, duties, or privileges.
I loved the Professional Coaching Certificate program with UNH Professional Development and Training. The lead instructor, Carlotta Tyler, was an engaging facilitator and I grew exponentially as a coach while working with her and the other professionals I met in class.
After looking at other alternatives, I completed the Professional Coaching Certification at UNH. It was not only a helpful addition to my OD practice, but some of the skills I acquired proved useful in my work on a not for profit board. The classes were informative and engaging, and Carlotta Tyler, who led the program, provided a great deal of insight into this important field.
