Amanda Woods

Amanda Stone is State Specialist, Natural Resources and Land Conservation, with UNH Cooperative Extension. She provides technical assistance, guidance and facilitation to communities, conservation groups and professionals on wetland evaluation, natural resources protection, land conservation planning, and climate adaptation. Amanda led and co-authored the 1991 Method for the Evaluation of Nontidal Wetlands in New Hampshire (NH Method) and led the effort to revise and produce the updated 2011 NH Method, most recently updated in 2015. She has taught workshops in the use of the NH Method for evaluating wetlands for over 20 years. Amanda also spearheaded the development of the NH Wetlands Mapper, a companion to the NH Method. She also co-authored the Coastal version of the NH Method for coastal wetlands. She has a Master's Degree in Forest Hydrology.
