IMPORTANT NOTICE: This program is scheduled as a face-to-face classroom training during the Fall 2020 semester, but may be moved online due to future recommendations for distance learning due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Any updates will be posted on this page and all enrolled students will be notified by email of any anticipated curtailments.
This workshop consists of a series of hands on activities focusing on competencies essential to using GSuite tools to improve productivity, communication, and engagement in the classroom.
Training will include instruction using docs, slides, forms and sheets in the context of supporting learning and instruction in harmony with Google Classroom and any Chromebook! Participants will join a Classroom as a student, complete learning activities using the 'apps' and then have time to review Google Classroom updates and work independently to develop their own classroom or learning activities.
This workshop is best suited for upper elementary, middle school, high school and adult educators who have some experience with G Suite/Google Classroom and want to learn ways to leverage the application of the tools for optimal learning environments. Please bring along your own device.
*Disclaimer: This is not an official Google Educator Certification Workshop, however, skills acquired during this workshop are relevant to those requirements.
