You've probably experienced how easy it is to bark out orders or instructions, but so much harder to get employees engaged. The hard stuff is really the soft stuff. Leadership done well is full of paradoxes. Drawing from Charles Edmunson's book, "Paradoxes of Leadership," you will explore 14 paradoxes from the book and discover ways to apply them to your personal leadership journey.
The goal of this workshop is, through the lens of these paradoxes, to learn and practice ways to help employees reach their full potential and view themselves as essential to the business. Through interactive activities and discussion, you'll delve into each of the paradoxes and examine how they can apply to your own leadership experiences. You'll learn to build your employees' self-worth by demonstrating appropriate vulnerability, giving respect, listening, reducing fear, correcting through grace, serving others, finding strength in weakness, learning from mistakes and giving of yourself. Employees will flourish when you as a leader apply these paradoxes back at work, and you will find that you will have improved team dynamics as well as creativity and performance.
You will receive a copy of "Paradoxes of Leadership" as part of the workshop.
