Using SOAR, an Appreciative Inquiry approach to strategic assessment

Most of us are familiar with the problems, the gaps, the “opportunities for growth”, the issues and the challenges within our own development, our teams, and our organizations. We get good at admiring our problems and struggle to implement solutions, even when they are promising ideas.

In this interactive workshop, we will learn about the strength-based principles and process of Appreciative Inquiry, focusing on the framework used to identify and build on “what works”. We will discover the roots of this method and the ways organizations using it have experienced transformation. We will practice inquiry together, and learn a tool called SOAR which participants can begin using immediately to apply an appreciative approach to coaching or strategic planning sessions.
