The Dysregulated Elementary Student (K-5)

The Dysregulated Elementary Student (K-5)
Dysregulated Elementary Student

When we look at today’s classrooms, we see challenges—for elementary students and for those who teach them. As students move from grade to grade, the ante goes up: more independence, greater self-care, and increased expectations for self-regulation. While self-regulation typically develops with age, there are exceptions—and many variables at play.

If your student—whether 5, 8, or 11—isn’t quite keeping pace with classroom routines, curriculum demands, or the social expectations of their age and grade, it may be time to take a closer look at executive functions. In this class, we’ll not only identify where the roadblocks are, but also learn practical strategies and techniques to help remove them.
