Embracing Change: Understanding and Navigating Life's Transitions
Effective and positive influence is at the heart of talent development, coaching, and change leadership at work and in the world in general. Change, whether chosen or unexpected, can feel overwhelming or even unsettling. But what if you could navigate it with greater ease and purpose?
This immersive workshop offers a deep dive into the psychology of change, helping participants recognize common emotional responses while uncovering the hidden opportunities that transitions bring. By understanding the predictable patterns of change, you'll gain the tools to manage your reactions and make intentional choices about how to move forward.
Through interactive discussions and actionable strategies, you'll learn how to propel yourself, your team, or your family through change—transforming challenges into steppingstones for growth.
This workshop explores what influence really is and why it matters to leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and successful results. Well-intended and skillful influencing approaches help to positively shape attitudes and behavior in ourselves and others through calm presence, clear communication, and authentic example setting. It also supports employee engagement, trust building, collaboration, and decision-making by establishing credibility and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Depending on your role in the organization, you are either influencing up, down, across, or all the above, and your perception and approach needs to adjust accordingly. For supervisors, influencing through modeling expectations and consistency is key. For mid-level and senior managers, cross-functional collaboration, vision-setting, and accountability is required. And for peers, laterally influencing without formal authority is dependent on strong alliances.
Course topics will include
- the psychology of attitudes and influence,
- the impact of effective and ineffective influencing approaches on individual and organizational performance,
- and practical tools and strategies for improving influence on self and others.
