Presents fundamentals of Graphic Design while touching on foundation art theories and vocabulary. Through examination and analysis of professional graphic design, students become familiar with the relationship between graphic design process, creative solutions and critical thinking. Students work with a variety of traditional and digital media, with an emphasis on the process of design, composition and typography. If you are new to graphic design or have been thrown into creating collateral marketing pieces for your organization/company – this is the right course for you!
Some familiarity with Adobe applications is helpful, but not necessary. Previous experience using Windows/Mac OS is required.
Students must have an Adobe Creative Cloud login prior to attending class.
