Planning Your Project: A Hands-On Workshop to Plan Your Upcoming Project

This workshop provides new and experienced project managers with the ability to work 1:1 with the facilitator to develop a schedule for their upcoming project. Students will bring to the workshop information about a project they need to launch within their company in order to spend a day developing their project their project schedule.

For those students who do not have an active project, but want to learn how to develop project schedules; a case study will be provided to work with. 

Participants will be provided templates to use back in the workplace, including for more robust future project planning:
•    Project Charter
•    Scope Statement
•    Project Team Resource Plan template
•    Templates for Risk Planning
•    Communication Plans
•    A document for capturing and managing changes to the project
•    Stakeholder Matrix
•    Status Reporting template
•    Project Closing Checklist

During the workshop, participants will begin to build their project schedules utilizing either a project scheduling tool they currently utilize or can utilize Excel.

Participants will need to bring their laptop to the classroom.

This hands-on project workshop is limited to 10 participants per class in order to ensure participants have sufficient 1:1 time with the facilitator to begin to build out their project schedules.
