The Power of AI for Project Management
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping how work gets done, and project management is no exception. From drafting project plans to identifying risks and improving stakeholder communication, AI tools can augment a project manager’s effectiveness without replacing their judgment. This workshop introduces AI not as a buzzword, but as a practical assistant that can save time, reduce cognitive load, and enhance decision quality.
Participants will explore how AI can support core project management functions such as scope definition, scheduling, risk assessment, and reporting. Through real-world examples and guided exercises, attendees will learn how to prompt AI tools effectively, evaluate outputs critically, and integrate these tools into existing workflows. Special attention will be given to maintaining human oversight, avoiding bias, and ensuring ethical use.
The session also addresses common concerns, including data privacy, reliability of AI outputs, and how to balance efficiency with accountability. Whether managing small initiatives or complex programs, participants will be better equipped to lead in an increasingly AI-enabled environment.
By the end of the workshop, attendees will have a toolkit of resources, templates, and implementation strategies along with sample prompts that can be immediately applied to current projects, allowing them to:
- Understand the capabilities, limitations, and trends of AI in Project Management
- Understand Key AI tools for project managers (e.g., generative AI, copilots, automation tools)
- Use prompting techniques for planning, scheduling, and documentation
- Enhance stakeholder communication with AI-generated summaries and updates
- Use AI in decision-making: interpreting outputs and avoiding common pitfalls
- Understand ethical considerations: bias, transparency, and data privacy
- Understand how to build an AI-enabled workflow: integrating tools into daily practice"
