Holly Alperin, EdM is an Associate Clinical Professor and program coordinator of the Health and Physical Education program at the University of New Hampshire’s Department of Kinesiology. An expert in skills-based health education and pedagogy that is rooted in humanizing and relevant and responsive practices, she specializes in school and community-based programming that improves the health and well-being of young people and adults. She is an internationally recognized expert in the field of health education, pedagogy, and increasing the health and well-being of young people and has been recognized for contributions to the field and as an invited contributor to the work of organizations such as SHAPE America, ADAPT, CDC, and multiple state departments of education and health. In addition to teaching and mentoring students, she actively engages in opportunities to support teachers, school and district leaders, and community members by providing professional learning opportunities throughout New Hampshire, across the United States, and internationally.

Holly Alperin has worked for over 20 years in public health and education. Currently she is a faculty member in UNH's Department of Kinesiology. Previously she worked for 16 years for the Mass. Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, most recently as the Nutrition Education and Training Coordinator to child nutrition staff in the NSLP and NSB programs. She has a strong background in promoting school health programs at the local, state and national levels, skills-based comprehensive health education, and providing support to develop and implement quality professional development that leads to behavior change. She received her Ed.M. in Policy, Planning and Administration from Boston University, her B.S. in Health Education/Health Promotion from Central Michigan University, and is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES).
