
Liza Bonilla McGuckin
Liza Bonilla McGuckin is a freelance grant writer and former Director of Foundation Relations at the American Heart Association, where she worked with ten offices throughout California, Nevada, and Utah to increase annual grant funding by more than 300% within three years.
In her current role, she has helped national and regional nonprofit organizations across the U.S. to raise tens of millions of dollars for various health, education, and human service programs including: biomedical research; college and career preparation for first generation high school students; cooking and nutrition classes for K-8th grade students; financial coaching; healthcare enrollment and navigation; homelessness prevention and housing; and workforce development.
Originally from Los Angeles, Liza has lived on both U.S. coasts, as well as Colombia and Japan. She and her family have called New Hampshire home for more than a decade, during which she has embraced winter (but not shoveling).
