Digital Photography: Beyond the Basics

In this two-day workshop, learn advanced camera techniques as well as how to edit images using Adobe Photoshop.
We will approach shooting through an understanding of exposure and manual control, and edit images in Photoshop using advanced and versatile tools. Topics covered will include color correcting, layer masking, and compositing techniques.
If you are interested in knowing how to better use your camera or post-process your images to enhance your artistic vision, this workshop is especially for you. Students with a DSLR or similar camera will get the most benefit from the camera lesson, but all camera types are welcome.

  • Michael Cardinali

    Michael Cardinali received a BFA from SUNY Purchase and an MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and teaches photography at the University of New Hampshire, where he is Lecturer in Art and Art History. His first monograph, LOST Boston, was published in 2018 by +Kris Graves Projects. He has exhibited across the US and internationally, and was recently awarded a Clowes Fund Fellowship to attend a residency at the Vermont Studio Center.
