Microsoft Excel Advanced Mix (Module 1)

Please note that this course has replaced Power BI with Power Pivot, a tool available in all versions of MS Office 365 where Power BI is not available in all versions, nor in all companies.

This workshop builds on the basic concepts and skills learned in Microsoft Excel: Level 3 and provides a mix of advanced tools in a 3-hour course.

Topics covered will include:

• Power Query to get and manipulate data from several workbooks
• Power Pivot to create relationships between tables and visualize them in one pivot table
• Compare 2 workbooks and see the differences between them.
• Useful Tips and Tricks as time allows such as using VLOOKUP to return an entire row of data,
• sorting data by column headers, left-to-right, nifty pivot table formatting you may not have noticed

Requirements for this hands-on class:

Please add the following Excel Options Add-ins: Power Pivot and, if available, Inquire and Analysis Toolpak. If this Toolpak options are not available, we will use other methods to compare files.

This class will be at a comfortable pace for those users who are experienced with navigating Excel workbooks using the ribbon and/or keyboard shortcuts, creating basic functions of Excel, and who are well versed in absolute vs relative formulas.
