The Working Self-Contained Classroom: How to run a self-contained classroom with clear systems for instruction, life skills, and inclusion
The Working Self-Contained Classroom

This workshop will show you how to run a self-contained classroom across the full school day using clear, repeatable systems. You will learn how to set up and use task boxes, run discrete trial teaching, teach social skills, and structure morning meetings. You will also learn how to rotate life skill activities such as measuring, sorting, and simple group tasks. The training covers how to bring students into general education classes with goals focused on functional skills like social participation, classroom jobs, and communication. The focus stays on practical routines, so your students stay engaged, regulated, and learning.
