Psychological Safety | Michael Cinquino
Most workplaces do not have a communication problem. They have a psychological safety problem that creates communication problems. When psychological safety is low, people manage their image. They nod. They hedge. They soften. They “stay professional.” Meetings sound fine while the
real issues go underground. Misalignment shows up later as rework, slow decisions, quiet resentment, and preventable mistakes.
In this conference, we treat psychological safety as a behavioral system, not a vibe. Using the Drop the Act approach, we will show you how “acting fine” becomes a hidden tax on performance, and how to replace it with a simple, repeatable way to tell the truth early, listen accurately, and disagree without
punishment when the stakes are real.
You will learn how to hold a clear frame where people can be direct without being cruel, and human without being sloppy. Psychological safety is not “nice.” It is a room that can handle reality.
Communication for hybrid + Multi-generational teams | Talia Rosenblum
In this session, you'll discover how to actively build connection across the differences that make modern supervision challenging - whether that's hybrid work arrangements, generational gaps, or simply feeling like you have nothing in common with your team members.
You'll learn practical ways to design your team time (whether hybrid, remote, or in-person) so that relationship-building happens alongside getting work done, not as an afterthought. Through a hands-on mini Connection experience, you'll see firsthand how structured conversation reveals shared values and common humanity beneath surface-level differences. You'll leave with ready-to-use conversation frameworks you can implement immediately and a fundamental mindset shift: connection isn't separate from productivity - it's what makes collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving possible.

Technology knowledge for supervisors | James McKim
Technology Knowledge for Supervisors is a highly interactive, case-based learning experience designed for first-time and new supervisors who are navigating the shift from individual contributor to people leader. Through realistic scenarios, and small-group table discussions, participants explore how technology is used in organizations, what supervisors are truly responsible for, and how tools can support—but never replace—effective leadership. The workshop emphasizes people-first decision-making, clear communication, and sound judgment, helping new supervisors learn how to use data and technology to balance workloads, set expectations, coach performance, and build trust while leading confidently in fast-paced, real-world environments.
