About the Behavioral Health Certificate Program
The Behavioral Health Certificate provides educators and school staff with the knowledge and strategies to support the social, emotional, and behavioral health needs of students in K-12 settings. This program is designed to equip participants with practical tools and evidence-based approaches to foster resilience, manage challenging behaviors, and promote overall well-being in the classroom and beyond.
Through a variety of engaging workshops, participants will explore topics such as implementing supportive systems, fostering social skills, managing stress and anxiety, and integrating mindfulness and resilience-building strategies. The certificate program incorporates social-emotional learning, trauma-responsive care, and other mental and behavioral health practices to create safe and supportive learning environments.
Whether you are a classroom teacher, paraeducator, counselor, or administrator, this certificate will help you develop skills to positively impact students' behavioral health while enhancing your own professional growth.

Progress is tracked automatically in your Learn for Life account. Digital certificates are issued within two weeks. If you haven’t received your certificate after three weeks, please email us at professional.development@unh.edu.
